Thank you to everyone who gave me their vote of confidence, their time, and support during this election.
I will be updating this post for today’s election results as they come to hand.
The results below are based on the counting of approximately 98% of the returned voting papers. The progress result does not include some special votes and voting papers returned today that are still in transit to the processing centre. The outcome of these elections may change once all voting papers have been counted.
The voter return was 48%, being 16,946 voting papers, excluding voting papers in transit to the processing centre and special votes.
Preliminary results to date are as follows:
|BLANK voting paper||246|
|MIRFIN, Zane Stuart||2||3,117|
|BLANK voting paper||120|
|BLANK voting paper||37|
|Golden Bay Ward|
|BLANK voting paper||24|
|Lake Murchison Ward|
|BLANK voting paper||23|
For me, the election is now over. The time for rolling up sleeves now begins.
As part of my election promise, I intend to use this blog as an open diary.
I’ll also be letting you know what I am doing on council and who voted for what. Its about being informed.
